Sorry not been on much but just getting over yet another chest infection.
For anyone who knew Alan was going in for his prostarate op- he went in on Wednesday and everything seemed to go well but when they tried him without the catheter it was obvious that there was still a problem so he's had various scans and has had to have the catheter put back in, which is a real downer for us both. They think that his bladder may have become enlarged with not being able to empty properly all this time. They are going to try him without hgain tomorrow and see how it goes this time. So pleasae-any thoughts, prayers and healing vibes would be soooooo much appreciated!

It's horrible because I haven't been able to visit him with this damned infection.

Thank you |Sheila, Doreen and Bev.

Delighted to say they've let him come home today but unfortunately with the catheter in for another 6 weeks. So really we are back to square one more or less. Very disappointing outcome.

So very sorry to hear this Julie. I`m pleased they`ve let Alan come home, as it must have been awful for you not being able to visit, but it`s rotten that he still has to have the catheter in for such a long time.

Thoughts, good vibes and prayers for you both,

Kathleen x

Lovely to hear that Alan is now at home but, like you say, disappointing about the catheter.
Here's hoping he'll get rid of it after the 6 weeks.

Love to you both, Doreen xx

We're okay thanks Doreen. Alan is getting on with things although he can't drive for 6 weeks! He has what has been described as a spinal anaesthetic headache but hopefully it is easing off a bit now.
I've got to see a respiratory nurse tomorrow to see why I keep coughing and getting chest infections.

Hi Julie,

I`m glad you haven`t got COPD or asthma, and I hope the steroid inhaler helps. These chest infections are horrible, so hope you feel better soon, and Alan too.

Take care,

Kathleen x
